Our pigs are pasture raised in Huntertown and never confined indoors once they are weaned from their mother. They are rotated through pastures on our farm to contribute to the regeneration of our soil.
Our pigs are supplemented with an organic, seed oil free feed, along with being given
organically raised fruits, vegetables and eggs, and our own grass-fed raw milk. Seed oil
free feed removes all common inflammatory seed oils such as corn, soy, sunflower,
canola, cottonseed, etc from the grains we feed our pigs.
They lead a very low-stress life, foraging through grasses and fields or relaxing in their watering hole.
Our bulk pork is priced at $7.25/lb on the hanging weight, plus your customized
butchering cost. Hanging weight is the weight once the hog has been slaughtered and
organs have been removed, it is not the weight of the pork cuts you take home.
Hanging weights of half hogs will range approximately from 75 lbs to 95 lbs. Custom
butchering costs will range approximately between $125-$150 per 1/2 hog depending
on your specialty selections. All amounts are ESTIMATES and may vary depending on butchering availability.
The deposit amount is $400 for a 1/2 hog. This price is APPROXIMATELY 50% OF
THE TOTAL COST. This deposit reserves you approximately 55-75 lbs of pork,
finished weight.Common cuts included are ham, bacon, ribs, pork chops/tenderloins, roasts, and ground sausage.
All cut amounts are based on custom butchering requests.
Deposit amount is APPROXIMATELY 50% of the total due. The remaining balance
will be due prior to pickup. Butchering is in the late fall and you will be contacted prior to
butchering to finalize dates.
